Spotted on the road near my house. I use the term 'road' loosely, as it's more of an eight lane highway. And yes, they are driving INTO the traffic.

There is probably some eastern logic in play here - given the relative speeds I would probably go against the traffic so I could see what was coming and move left/right of the lane marking as required. Of course, two buses side by side coming at me would probably cause a serious pucker...
ReplyDeleteThat's true. We figured that despite the impracticality of what they were doing, they were probably hard of hearing and better off on this side of the road.
ReplyDeleteWhich begs the question ... why weren't they on the footpath? They're not just for people here apparently - trucks, cars, motorbikes etc are all frequently seen driving at high speed along the walkways, and appear to have right-of-way over pedestrians!
